It gives an overview of the Recommendation\u2019s measures that have been adopted, updated, implemented or planned since 2023 and shows how much progress each EU country has made in light of their national priorities and contexts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Key achievements\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Three years after its adoption, EU countries have reported <strong>over 500 measures to support workers and communities<\/strong> affected by the green transition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strong focus on job creation and skills development<\/strong>: Initiatives include training, upskilling, reskilling and support for job-to-job transitions in sectors impacted by decarbonisation. Public employment services are central to these efforts, alongside new employment incentives and expanded support for green jobs and micro-credentials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strengthening green skills and forecasting tools<\/strong>: Many countries are improving policies to develop green skills and enhance labour market forecasting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tackling social challenges<\/strong>: Efforts are underway to address energy and transport poverty, ensuring vulnerable households are protected during the transition. A whole-of-society approach is essential to ensure the transition is fair and inclusive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Stepping up monitoring and analysis\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>The EU is increasing efforts to track the social, economic, and employment impacts of the green transition. Data collection and regional observatories are key tools in this process.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>European Fair Transition Observatory<\/strong> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LMkPce5vxBA\" class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--icon\">launched in March 2026<\/a> under the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/topics\/competitiveness\/clean-industrial-deal_en\"><u>Clean Industrial Deal<\/u><\/a>. It will provide insights into the transition\u2019s impacts and offer an online fair transition monitor to track related policies that will be published in Autumn 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<dl
