En France, environ 7 000 maladies rares sont recens\u00e9es, touchant pr\u00e8s de 3 millions de personnes. La loi relative \u00e0 la politique de sant\u00e9 publique du 9 ao\u00fbt 2004 a inscrit la lutte contre les maladies rares parmi les cinq priorit\u00e9s nationales de sant\u00e9 publique. Dans ce cadre, trois plans nationaux \u00ab maladies rares \u00bb se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9.<\/p>\n
Ces plans, pilot\u00e9s par les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires fran\u00e7aises, ont permis de structurer l\u2019offre de soins et d\u2019expertise \u00e0 travers la mise en place de fili\u00e8res de sant\u00e9 maladies rares. Celles\u2011ci organisent et coordonnent les centres d\u2019expertise et les plateformes d\u2019expertise d\u00e9di\u00e9s aux maladies rares, afin de renforcer la qualit\u00e9 de la prise en charge et de l\u2019orientation des patients.<\/p>\n
Il existe actuellement 23 fili\u00e8res de sant\u00e9 maladies rares, chacune couvrant un champ large et coh\u00e9rent de pathologies. Ces regroupements se fondent soit sur la proximit\u00e9 des manifestations cliniques, des cons\u00e9quences ou des modalit\u00e9s de prise en charge, soit sur l\u2019atteinte d\u2019un m\u00eame organe ou syst\u00e8me.
