La Cour des comptes, saisie par la commission des affaires sociales de l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale, a publi\u00e9 un bilan du dispositif du m\u00e9decin traitant, vingt ans apr\u00e8s sa mise en place. Institu\u00e9 comme porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e dans le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 et pivot du parcours de soins, le m\u00e9decin traitant voit son r\u00f4le s\u2019\u00e9largir dans le suivi des patients, la pr\u00e9vention et la coordination des soins.<\/p>\n
La Cour constate toutefois que le d\u00e9ploiement de ce dispositif reste incomplet. En 2025, 88,5 % de la population adulte avait d\u00e9clar\u00e9 un m\u00e9decin traitant, ce qui laisse 6,3 millions d\u2019assur\u00e9s sans m\u00e9decin traitant. Elle rel\u00e8ve \u00e9galement que la simple d\u00e9claration d\u2019un m\u00e9decin traitant ne garantit pas un suivi effectif des patients.<\/p>\n
Dans ce contexte, la Cour formule huit recommandations. Celles-ci visent \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le pilotage du dispositif, renforcer l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un m\u00e9decin traitant pour l\u2019ensemble des assur\u00e9s, d\u00e9velopper l\u2019exercice coordonn\u00e9 autour de ce dernier et adapter les moyens ainsi que les modes de financement \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution de ses missions.
